Dined at Mariosarti's for weekday lunch. Amiable staff could be forgiven for forgetting our requests (wine, main meal and side order) if the food had not made me ill. Ordered special of mussels in white wine broth(?). Requested side order of rice instead of bread, which eventually came after the meal had arrived accompanied with bread! Mussels not notable (and several had not opened), nor was broth, however, dining partner's lamb shanks (also a special) somewhat redeemed the chef; beautifully moist texture but flavours had failed to penetrate. Pleasant ambiance, reasonable quantities, but a note on the quality: the mussels were the ONLY thing I ate that day...and for the following 2 days! Suffice it to say their encore appearance did nothing to improve my opinion!
