I went to Cloudland for the first time lastnight. I would give 5 stars for the venue and 1 star for the staff that work there. The door man was completely rude, arrogant and offensive when we lined up to go in to Cloudland. We could not hear what he was saying as the music was so loud inside and we mentioned this to him. He replied with absolute attitude and rudeness. Then when I mentioned their was no need to be rude about it, he assumed I'd said something else(because he couldn't hear me surprise surprise) and proceeded to give me a mouthful threatening to knock me out. As for the service inside, the wait to get drinks was ridiculous, pricey and matched the rudeness at the front door. I suggest you get staff to match such a beautiful and ambient premiere venue! First impressions last!!!

I was just wondering exactly what the dress standards are for the venue. After viewing your website I could not see any information regarding this. Also at the entry point were your door staff are checking ID and refusing entry the dress standards are also not visible. The reason for my post is that a group of mates tried to enter and were refused. when asked the door staff exactly what the dress standards were they could not answer me. Then to further annoy me there were other people who were less appropriately dress in jeans who were being allowed entry. whats atandards and consistency is there at the venue.

Hi there Amanda
I am sorry I have only seen this post a couple of months later as it truly was an absolutely nightmare to get through to Cloudland on the phones! They really were 'off the hook' literally... The good news is that if you can bring yourself to try the number again, you will find your call is easily answered as management have now got it together and hired several reception people to take care of customers.
Not sure if you have had a chance to in there for lunch, but that's another great option as the venue is stunning during the day and it isn't nearly as crazy as a Friday or Saturday night.

It is almost impossible to get a reservation for dinner. I tried to book a month in advance and they could not fit me in.... after leaving several other messages on their machines (the phone is rarely answered) to try and book another night, no one has called me back....

It seems customer service is a little too much for Cloudland. very disappointed.

Fair call - though umbrellas and other non-permanent coverings seem to be the go at other venues, such as Fridays or The Exchange.

Hi,

having been to the venue I'd say this was a pretty fair assesment - however in their defence I do need to point out one thing... the smoking area... it has to be open - given all the sides are closed in it can't have a roof - them's the rules.
