I agree, I wouldn't suggest that anyone go to the Pavilion for food. I can't believe we waited so long. At one stage I forgot why we were even sitting there. I was hoping it was gonna be amazing since it took over an hour to make ... i could've made the same thing in 20mins, for half the cost and mine would taste better and actually be warm. I'd rather eat Sam's kitty litter than eat at the Pavilion.

Hah yes its true!
I couldn't believe it, I don't know what they were thinking. I mean if you don't have your chefs in to actually make food, why would you take orders? And more importantly, what kind of chef can make such a horrible breakfast!

I think this review is incomplete without including Atomicas. I've been to Espresso Head and Atomicas (right next door) and I think Atomicas is slightly better. The juice I had at Espresso Head was terrible once, they have improved since then, although the juices are not cheap.

Atomicas has a fantastic bubble&squeek, rosemarry'n'lamb sausages and tomato jus that combine with the other ingredients in the big breakfast to, in my opinion, give Atomicas the edge. Oh the mushrooms are great too.

Have you been to Atomicas Alborz?

I have to agree with Yaro here I'm afraid Borzie, Atomicas makes a fantastic brekkie (try the banana bread if they still have it, it rocks!). I would seriously suggest going there THIS weekend and adding your review of them to this post. Your reviews are really coming along too mate, very professional!

I would say espressohead is slightly better as the size of the meal you get is HUGE!!! And the prcies are still quiet cheap as well.... I have been to atomica is good but you pay for it and the meal servings are no where near as big as Espressohead.

I went to Atomica last weekend, yeah.. it was alright. Had to wait a while for the food. The food was great though, can't complain about that, but the venue itself, meh... I'd still go to Espresso Head.

Around the corner an up Vulture St from the main strip of West End is the Tongue and Groove cafe in Hardgrave Street. The Mother Groover is the ultimate big breakfast with the usual bacon, sausages, eggs, and bread. The twist is that the baked beans are actually spicy salsa beans and the hash browns are a home made delicacy.

An alternative to the groover is the pancakes. Pancakes, maple syrup, bacon and bananas - sometimes with an asian fruit to top it off.

I reckon it gives the Gunshop cafe and Espressohead a run for it's money as to me it evokes a true West End feel. A little bit hippy, a little bit sharehouse, a little bit wooden queenslander. Unique.

I'm suprised that Cantina on Hardgrave Rd hasn't been revewed good food reasonably priced and at times very lively with attentive service.(Not that I'm a fan haha)
