Brisbane ValleySo it begins my friends. After a year of writing reviews on my own weblog I have finally decided to start a website focused entirely on the Brisbane nightlife scene. This is primarily because I wanted a website dedicated to the Brisbane Nightlife Scene. Before I start the whole thing, I should state my focus for this website.

I intend to review primarily Bars / Clubs around Brisbane City / Valley / West End and anywhere else I find myself at. Nevertheless, I intend to also have reviews of Restaurants and other venues that come up if anyone is willing to write them. A good friend of mine, Alice, has put her hand up to write some reviews of such places. I will also be accepting reviews from anyone who wishes to submit them. So please sign up and if you have a review please do submit it.

However I have a feeling I will be doing most of the reviews for some time to come, which is good with me because I am keen to write and re-review all the places that I had originally reviewed on my blog and then start reviewing all the places that I hadn’t reviews.

The main of this website is to create an archive of Brisbane’s venues and also to give some idea of what is on in Brisbane and where to go. I will be looking for news and content posters, anyone willing to write anything to do with the Brisbane Social scene is more than welcome to register and submit their articles.

All in all, this website will take a good 12 months to get of the ground, but rest assured it will be worth it.

Well, I have to say that its a great idea to have a guide and review system in Bris. After all, these systems are all well established and flourishing in Melbourne and Sydney and it’s time for Brisbane to join the ranks!

    Nice one Al!

The more guides to Brisbane the better.

    Good luck!

    Thanks Chris,
I am aiming for a completely different approach for a guide than Brisbane247, Much more focused on specific events and venues tailored for people in the 20s/30s age group with a buzz for ‘going out’. I use Brisbane247 almost all the time :D
